The Physics and Engineering Section has about 200 members. Its activity is coordinated by the Section Committe. Laszlo P. Csernai was elected to be a member of the Section Comittee at the Graz Annual General Meeting of Academia Europaea in 2003. Laszlo P. Csernai was appointed as chair of the section by Council at the Budapest Annual General Meeting of Academia Europaea on Sept. 24, 2006.
